Dearest Lenore and family,

We will celebrate forever the beautiful poetry and love that surrounds us every time we see your portrait of the girls. Your life has touched us deeply, and we pray that your spirit will continue to inspire and guide your family and friends. We also send our deepest sympathies to your entire family, and wish them God's blessings as they continue on in life's journey.
With love and remembrance,

Lenore, Lenore, Lenore! What to say?

She repeatedly inspired us to greatness: to do our best, to be our best, to live our best. She has inspired this very writing. It is because of Lenore that I dare say what I have to say. It is thanks to Lenore that I dare bare my soul. What courage! What commitment to the quest! I am blessed to have known her.

Thank you, Lenore, for being my friend. I shall forever be grateful. You have touched me deeply and my life is all the richer for it! I send you all my love and bless your continued journey. Until we meet again,

Your friend,

Theresa

I just heard from a friend of Lenore's death and read her moving obituary - I believe she would approve. Thank you so very much for making the effort in a time of deep emotion to update the website and so allow for participation in her service.

I did not really know Lenore. But I had the good fortune to meet with her and some other remarkable women at her home on a few, too brief and sincerely memorable occasions. I found her eloquent in language, gracious in manner and vibrant in her enthusiasum for life.
I don't know where she has gone but wherever it is, they are better for it as we are diminished. I wish her friends and family comfort from those around them and relief from grief in wonderful memories and the luck or fate of having known her.

Blessings

It is with great sadness that I received the message about Lenore's passing.

I had the pleasure of knowing Lenore for 26 years. For most of these years I was her family physician. Starting before she moved to Calgary in 1980, we had many wonderful talks. Of course we discussed her health issues, but we also had fine talks about her work in real estate, and later about her writing and her painting.

I particularly well remember our heartfelt talks when Susan became pregnant, when Lenore's mother died, when the children were getting divorced - and when they found happiness again.

I greatly admired her "Facts and Arguments" essays in the Globe and Mail, and saved them. And when I too ventured into print in the same pages, she sent me a warm letter encouraging my writing, much as I had encouraged hers. I also loved her art. Recently she happily wrote me, "My current burst of colour is the result of a new hip! Do you believe it?"

Lenore was always vibrant, and whether times were good or difficult, always gracious. I will miss her. My heartfelt condolences to Susan, Larry, and John, and their families.

Your daughter Susan just paid me a visit. I'm so glad she gave me your card. I was able to go to your website and learn more about you. Be courageous! A prayer has been sent. Your work is really very beautiful.
